NAMI Alger/Marquette will host a round-table discussion to learn more about policy that affects the lives of those living with mental illness, and offer strategies for advocating on current legislation. Lucy Wilcox, Clinical Practices Coordinator/NorthCare Network and Kyle Rambo, Executive Director/Catholic Social Services of the UP, will lead the discussion. NAMI Alger/Marquette offers confidential educational meetings for individuals living with mental illness, and friends or families living with an individual with mental illness. Anyone interested in advocating for better mental health care is invited to join this meeting on Monday, May 22 at 7pm in the Baraga Place Conference Room at 129 W. Baraga Ave., Marquette.

NAMIam holds support meetings on the second Monday and third Thursday of every month for anyone with a mental health condition, caregivers, and family. Special NAMI programs such as Family-to-Familyand Homefront are offered at specific times of the year. All meetings and programs are free and confidential.
NAMIam offers free educational meetings the last Monday of every month (unless it is a holiday). Meetings cover topics related to mental health in our community such as Mental Health First Aid Training, Q & A with Marquette County Sheriff Candidates, Marquette Clubhouse, Crisis Intervention Training CIT, and Stress Management.
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families.
NAMIam is the local NAMI affiliate serving Alger and Marquette Counties in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
